Lash were an all-female alternative/punk rock band from Perth, Australia. The members Belinda-Lee Reid (vocals, guitar), Jaclyn Pearson (drums), Jessica Bennett (lead guitar) and Micaela Slayford (vocals, bass) all met in high school (Santa Maria College) in Attadale, Western Australia. Beauty Queen was released on 27 August 2001. It reached number 31 in the weekly ARIA chart, and included their earlier hit.

Mach Pelican were a punk rock band formed in Perth, Australia in 1996. In 1998, they relocated to Melbourne, Australia. They announced their farewell tour in July 2007, and played their final show in Tokyo, Japan on 17 September 2007.
The band was formed by three Japanese students who were studying English in Perth in 1996. After touring extensively, Mach Pelican moved to Melbourne in 1998. In eleven years, Mach Pelican played 800 shows, touring with bands such as The Buzzcocks, Radio Birdman, Rancid, The Hard Ons, Butthole Surfers, Guitar Wolf, Supersnazz, The Donnas, You Am I, The Spazzys and The Porkers.

"Better Off Alone" is a song by Grinspoon which was released as the second single from their fourth studio album Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills.The song peaked at No. 30 on the ARIA Singles Chart and polled at No. 26 on Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2004.

"You Open My Eyes" is a single by iconic Australian rock group Hoodoo Gurus which reached #43 on the ARIA Singles Charts. It was released on BMG in February, 1994; and was written by Brad Shepherd. This was the first Hoodoo Gurus single that was not written or co-written by Dave Faulkner. The B side, "Something I Forgot to Say", was written by Faulkner. The second B side was a cover of The Victims' "Television Addict" written by James Baker and Faulkner (both were members of The Victims and of Hoodoo Gurus).

"Trippin'" was the first single from New Zealand glam metal band Push Push. The single was number one in New Zealand for six weeks and the only local song to top the New Zealand charts in 1991. It also chatred at #25 here in Australia.

"What's on Your Radio" was the first single from Australian rock band The Living End's 4th album State of Emergency. Its release date was 21 November 2005. The single was available for pre-sale at the Coke Live 'n' Local Tour, featuring a different tracklist. "What's on Your Radio" was voted to number 49 in the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2005 it made it to #9 on the charts.

"Luv Your Life" is the third single by Australian rock band Silverchair from their fourth album Diorama, which was released in 2002. The song was released as a single and a video was made in which the band was portrayed as animated characters. "Luv Your Life" reached #20 on the Australian charts.
